The BioAgTech World (BAW) Congress is an annual event organized by the Global BioAg Linkages to bring all the BioAg stakeholders on one platform to discuss the latest burning topics and industry challenges. BAW Congress is planned, organized, and managed by passionate BioAg professionals who have dedicated their lives to agriculture. This event also serves as a platform to brainstorm innovations and opportunities and create a blueprint to grow the industry. The 2024 BAW Congress will be held from April 22 – April 26, 2024, at Raleigh Convention Centre, Raleigh, North Carolina.
The upcoming congress is being organized in cooperation with NC State-NC Plant Sciences Initiative and North Carolina Biotechnology Centre and Research Triangle Regional Partnership as Regional Economic Development Sponsor. Formerly known as the BioAg World Congress, the name change to BioAgTech World Congress recognizes the importance of technology in agriculture and the way it is revolutionizing the industry. Event organizers believe it is impossible to have sustainable agriculture without the application of agtech to increase precision and efficiency.
BAW Congress is a non-static event, and it moves across continents each year to give regional focus to this global event. North Carolina is the most appropriate choice for the upcoming BAW Congress with its richness in agricultural tradition and 21st century science that meet to create unmatched research and business opportunities. The state houses 195+ agtech companies, two land grant universities, and 18 research stations and has a $92.9 billion agricultural economy. NC State-NC Plant Sciences Initiative will organize a field visit to the North Carolina State and provide exposure to the participants of the new technological innovations, research, and trials ongoing in the state. The initiative brings together the brightest minds in academia, government, and industry to drive vital research that increases crop yields, creates new varieties, extends growing seasons, enhances agricultural and environmental sustainability, and produces new and improved technology. This field visit by NC State will add great value for the Congress attendees. Also, the NC Biotechnology Centre will host the Gala Dinner during Congress for participants to celebrate BioAg in the amazing company of like-minded people to foster connection building and shared synergies in the best interest of the industry.
Research Triangle Park, the Networking Reception sponsor of the BAW Congress 2024, is a collaborative Innovation Center founded to improve economic outcomes for the residents of North Carolina. RTP is North Carolina’s premier global innovation center founded in 1959 and located at the center of three Tier-1 research universities. Its 7,000 acres house hundreds of companies, including science and technology firms, government agencies, academic institutions, startups, and nonprofits. BAW Congress is a full-spectrum BioAg industry event that includes all segments of sustainable farming, biofertilizers, biostimulants, biopesticides, and all related technologies such as precision ag and other agtech.
