Bee Vectoring Technologies International Inc. (BVT) is advancing into North African and Middle Eastern markets through key partnerships with local agribusinesses in Turkey, Azerbaijan, Morocco, and Israel. These partnerships aim to commercialize BVT’s bee vectoring system and its biological control agent, Clonostachys rosea strain CR-7.

Ashish Malik, CEO of BVT, highlighted that these collaborations are central to the company’s strategy for rapid market expansion, utilizing local networks and sales teams to efficiently reach more customers.

In Turkey, BVT is working with BioGlobal, which recently conducted successful trials with the Ministry of Agriculture, demonstrating the effectiveness of BVT’s system in delivering beneficial microbes to greenhouse tomatoes. Following these successful trials, BioGlobal will seek to develop an official protocol and pursue full-country registration for CR-7. Similar progress is anticipated in Azerbaijan.

In Morocco, BVT’s trials on tomato crops yielded promising results, leading to plans for country registration with Groupe SAOAS, timed with submissions to the European Union.

In Israel, BVT’s partner Lidorr Elements is testing CR-7 on almonds and will soon extend trials to strawberries and tomatoes.

BVT’s goal is to secure technology registrations and start selling in these markets, where the use of commercial bee hives is already prevalent. Collectively, these four countries have over 600,000 commercial bee hives annually. BVT’s market potential spans 157,600 hectares of key crops, including various fruits and vegetables across the four nations.
