Elicit Plant, a pioneering French company in agri-biotech solutions, has announced the launch of EliZon, an innovative bio-solution designed to enhance the resilience of soybean crops to water stress. This expansion follows the company’s success in Brazil with maize products and aims to tackle the growing challenges posed by climate change in global agriculture.

Addressing Water Stress in Soybean Production

Unveiled at an exclusive event in Porto Alegre, EliZon is specifically developed to reduce water consumption in soybean plants while boosting productivity, even under extreme climatic conditions. After promising results in France, Ukraine, and various European markets, this launch marks a significant step in Elicit Plant’s ambitious strategy to provide sustainable solutions to farmers worldwide.

Proven Effectiveness Through Extensive Research

EliZon is the culmination of three years of dedicated research, including 25 trials conducted with Brazilian research institutes and large-scale farmer trials across diverse regions in Brazil. The trials have demonstrated an impressive average yield increase of 274 kg/ha, showcasing the solution’s proven effectiveness.

Sustainable Innovations for Critical Challenges

By enhancing the efficiency of water use, EliZon makes soybean plants more resistant to drought, thereby increasing productivity during dry spells. This is particularly crucial for extensive soybean cultivation in Brazil, which has faced severe droughts amidst climate change challenges. Felipe Sulzbach, Head of Elicit Plant Brazil, expressed, “We are thrilled to launch EliZon, addressing the critical needs of farmers facing climate change. Our goal is to enable more sustainable practices while increasing yields.”

Global Expansion and Climate Resilience

The launch of EliZon aligns with Elicit Plant’s global strategy to introduce innovative solutions tailored to key crops in important markets. Following successful entries in France, Europe, and Ukraine, the company is set to enter the U.S. market by 2025. CEO Jean-François Déchant emphasized the importance of adapting solutions to regional challenges, stating, “EliZon represents a major step forward in helping growers secure their yields under conditions of water stress.”
