In a groundbreaking move for the agriculture industry, Indigo Ag and GROWMARK have announced a major multi-year strategic partnership that promises to revolutionize access to innovative biological products and sustainability solutions for farmers. By combining Indigo’s cutting-edge technology with GROWMARK’s extensive network of FS cooperatives, the partnership is set to empower farmers across North America with advanced tools for improving productivity, profitability, and sustainability.

A New Era of Biological Solutions

At the heart of this collaboration is Indigo’s CLIPS device—an innovative, flowable powder seed coating application system that addresses common challenges with biological products. Stability, shelf-life, and application constraints have historically posed barriers to adopting biologicals on farms, but CLIPS changes the game.

Wade Mittelstadt, COO of GROWMARK, expressed the potential impact of this innovation:

“Biological products have the potential to deliver valuable benefits for growers, but utilizing them on the farm can be a challenge. Indigo’s CLIPS system addresses all of those hurdles and is an incredibly easy and innovative solution.”

With this partnership, farmers will now have seamless access to Indigo’s biotrinsic® products, a portfolio of biologicals proven across more than 2,000 field trials to boost yields, enhance water and nutrient efficiency, improve drought tolerance, and increase plant productivity.

Scaling Innovation Across North America

The partnership extends Indigo’s solutions to GROWMARK’s FS cooperative network, covering more than 15 states and provinces across North America. This network will not only offer farmers Indigo’s current range of biologicals—including bionematicides and biofungicides—but also bring the latest advancements directly to their local cooperatives.

Jon Giebel, VP of Product Strategy at Indigo, highlighted the future opportunities enabled by the partnership:

“Although the CLIPS device is only available with Indigo’s biotrinsic® products in 2025, the new agreement with GROWMARK opens the discussion for future third-party product access to the CLIPS system, providing even greater choice to farmers.”

Giebel emphasized that the CLIPS platform has the potential to become an industry standard, unlocking the next generation of high-performing biological active ingredients.

The Bigger Picture: Sustainability at Scale

This partnership aligns with the growing demand for sustainable farming practices. Indigo’s market-leading biologicals, now accessible through FS cooperatives, represent a critical step toward addressing modern agricultural challenges such as climate resilience, efficient resource use, and improved crop health.

With farmers poised to benefit from a user-friendly application system and science-backed solutions, this partnership underscores the importance of innovation and collaboration in driving the agriculture industry forward.

Looking Ahead

The Indigo-GROWMARK partnership is more than a business agreement—it’s a catalyst for change in how biologicals are developed, delivered, and used at scale. As the CLIPS device and biotrinsic® products become widely available in 2025, the future of sustainable farming looks brighter than ever.
