Day 2: Business Day with Stakeholders and Leaders Highlights Strategic Collaboration, Investment Readiness and Global Recognition at the 6th BioAgTech World Congress & Expo 2025


Held on April 24, 2025, in New Delhi, India, the Congress brought together global stakeholders for high-level workshops, strategic roundtables and a prestigious awards gala focused on sustainable agricultural transformation.

New Delhi, April 24, 2025 — The 6th BioAgTech World Congress & Expo 2025, organized by Global BioAg Linkages (GBL), successfully concluded its second day of proceedings at The Leela Ambience Convention Hotel, New Delhi, with a comprehensive focus on industry alignment, regulatory harmonization, entrepreneurial acceleration, and leadership recognition. With delegates representing over 30 countries, Day 2 was marked as the Business Day with Stakeholders and Leaders and served as a pivotal platform to address current challenges and drive global momentum in sustainable biological agriculture.

Focused Workshops on Regulatory Convergence and Startup Enablement

The day commenced with two concurrent workshops designed to address systemic issues across regulation and innovation.
Workshop 1 emphasised on the Role of Industry Associations in Shaping and Harmonizing Regulations and Policies for Smart Sustainable Farming Bio-Inputs in India with Global Perspective. Chaired by Mr. Vipin Saini, Chief Executive Officer, BASAI, the workshop featured esteemed panelists including Dr. Chaudhari, Director General, Fertiliser Association of India (FAI); Dr. KRK Reddy, President, BIPA; Dr. John Peters, and Mr. Sahil Malik, Secretary, NBIF. Global inputs were delivered by Mr. Karel Bolckmans, President, IBMA and Mr. Keith Jones, Executive Director, BPIA, USA. The session emphasized collaborative frameworks to enable more agile, science-based regulatory pathways for bio-inputs across geographies.

Workshop 2 focussed on Investors and Startups/Innovators Fundraising – Must Win Battles, Matchmaking and Pitching Practice. Moderated by Mr. Giuseppe Natale, Chairman, Vedalia, this high-energy session featured notable investment leaders including Mr. Antonio Zem, President, Biotrop; Mr. Rajesh Srivastava, Chairman, Rabo/Ferns Equity Advisors; Mr. Scott Chung, Asia Lead, Tikehau Capital, Mr. Anil Rohra, UPL NPP and Mr. Benoit Hartman, Bayer Biologicals. Startups from across the sector engaged in live pitch rounds and interactive Q&A, receiving hands-on feedback from the investment community.

Sessions of Day 2 started in full swing with the first session chaired by Mr. Antonio Zem, Board Member, BioFirst. It featured three critical roundtables shaping the global BioAgTech narrative.
The Women Leaders and Entrepreneurs Roundtable, moderated by Ms. Sandeepa Kanitkar, Managing Director, Kan Biosys, included distinguished voices such as Ms. Roberta Vinciguerra, COO, Vedalia, Ms. Narjisse Mahmoudi, CEO, Nutribiotek – OCP; Ms. Liria Sayuri Hosoe, UPL NPP and Ms. Usha Zehr, CMD, GrowIndigo. The panel addressed the ongoing leadership gap and proposed actionable steps toward parity in the BioAgTech ecosystem.

The MNC Leaders Roundtable, chaired by Mr. Roger Tripathi, Founder & CEO, GBL, brought together Ms. Emilie Seguret, UPL NPP; Mr. Sanjay Tokala, Syngenta Biologicals, Mr. Simon Wiebusch, Bayer Biologics, Mr. Prameet Kamat, Corteva Biologicals and Mr. Carlos Ledo, Veganic Nature. Discussions focused on product scaling, market access, and regulatory alignment.

The CEO Roundtable, moderated by Ms. Amy O’Shea, CEO, Invaio Sciences, featured Mr. Adrian Ferrero, Biome Makers; Mr. Carlos Forster, AlgaEnergy, Mr. Augusto Menesses, Sylvan Bio, Mr. Mritunjay Kumar, PI Industries and Mr. Rajat Chatterjee, replacing Mr. Raj Agarwal. The dialogue explored leadership strategies for growth, innovation, and market resilience.

The next session, chaired by Mr. Giuseppe Natale, transitioned towards stakeholder engagement and investment strategies.
The Investment Outlook Panel drew insights from top investors on trends, risk factors, and investment frameworks for BioAgTech ventures. This was followed by a Symbiotic Stakeholder Engagement Roundtable, moderated by Dr. Adrian Percy, Executive Director, NC Plant Sciences Initiative, with panelists including Mr. Nimish Gangrade, Krishak Jagat; Mr. Anderson Galvão, Celeres; Mr. AG Kawamura, Landless Farmer and former Secretary of Agriculture, California; Mr. Huzefa Khorakiwala, Biostadt India; and Mr. Sartaaj Khan, Sustainable Farmer, India. The roundtable stressed the importance of cross-functional collaboration between institutions, media, scientists, and the farming community.

The session concluded with a compelling Fireside Chat featuring Mr. Ravi Agrawal (Genecrest), Mr. Shashank Kumar (DeHaat), and Mr. Agam Khare (Absolute Ag), whose ventures are leading innovations rooted in technology, scalability, and farmer empowerment. A market outlook was also presented by Ms. Bindu Yerram, Regional Commercial Manager, Kynetec, on BioAg market growth in Asia-Pacific.

Honoring Excellence: The Global BioAgTech Awards and Gala Dinner

The evening concluded with the Global BioAgTech Awards and Gala Dinner, a prestigious recognition ceremony accompanied by traditional Rajasthani folk music and cultural performances. The awards honored pioneering individuals whose contributions have had a transformative global impact on the BioAgTech sector.
